Reflections on the Larnaca Declaration on Learning Design

James Dalziel, Guest Editor
Collection launched: 10 Feb 2016
These articles originated from a meeting of Learning Design experts in Larnaca, Cyprus in 2012 as part of my National Teaching Fellowship (supported by the Office of Learning and Teaching of the Australian Government). By arriving at new conceptual foundations for the field of Learning Design (see Dalziel et al. published in this Special Collection), we felt we could better explore theoretical and practical implications of Learning Design in a range of teaching and learning contexts (as illustrated in the other articles included in the collection). We were delighted when Routledge indicated their interest to publish an edited book on this work, and very happy for some of the chapters of the book to be published openly here in JIME. For the full range of topics the group has considered, including the articles published here, please see the book "Learning Design: Conceptualizing a Framework for Teaching and Learning Online" James Dalziel
